Had enough of the Religious Right yet?  Our last president was their poster boy and we saw what he did to the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. With the introduction of torture, warrant less wire tapping and, most importantly invading Iraq, what Bush and the Religious Right attempted to do was to begin the Battle of Armageddon and fulfill the prophecy that these Preterists believe is in Revelations pertaining to the End Time – the final battle between Good (God) and Evil (Satan). They were so intent to achieve this self fulfilling prophecy that that end justified any means they employed to accomplish it. 

So, where do we go from here?  We are being told that the country is so hosed up that President Obama needs to devote all of his time to fixing the problems and ignore the attacks on the Constitution and the Crimes Against Humanity committed during the last administration. That argument is made repeatedly by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, two leaders in the Democrat Party, who Federal Prosecutors said had attended planning meetings with Bush and his advisors, from the early days after 9/11 until late in Bush’s presidency, discussing the Invasion of Iraq, the torture in Guantanamo and the warrant less wire tapping and all the other illegal acts that weakened and almost destroyed our Constitution and way of life.  If this is true, they are anything but the type of leaders the country needs to get it back on its feet.  Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid may not want the Bush Administration to be investigated and held accountable for their actions, not because to do so would detract from the task of rebuilding our country, but it would include them in the criminal investigation and include the possibility of their being held accountable and punished along with the Bushies. 

In the weeks following 9/11, the absence of leadership and courage to do what was right was painfully obvious in the leadership and the rank and file Democrats.  They were too afraid to take a stand against the Administration’s rush to war for fear they may be accused of being un-American.  Well I hate to tell the Jackasses, what they did by not standing up to the Administration and challenging the “intelligence information” used to make the case for attacking a sovereign nation is about as un-American as you can get.  If it turns out that Pelosi and Reid were in collusion with the Bush Gang on the fabrication of that intelligence they would likewise have the blood of five thousand American military personnel who died in Iraq, several hundred thousand Iraqis who died because of the war and over a hundred thousand severely wounded on both sides by the trumped up intelligence that they would have helped sell and legitimize.   I hope the U.S. Prosecuting Attorney's office, if given the go ahead, uncovers the source of the questionable information that got Bush his war and also identifies all parties involved with that information.  Then, after a fair trial, if found guilty, imprisons them for a very long time.  Our fallen military personnel as well as those of the innocent Iraqis and the gravely wounded on all sides will be watching and hoping, no demanding, that justice be served.  We must not deny them their just due.
